I am blown away at how amazing you are. Yes, you. The person reading this. Not only are you taking a courageous step toward healing a painful wound or many, but you’re giving yourself permission to move forward in your life and release all that is holding you back. I am so passionate about this work and about helping you come to a place of wellness and self-acceptance.
I specialize in working with:
- Couples who struggle to communicate with each other and have built up resentments and frustrations. Your partnership is not flawed, it just needs some fine tuning. I help you and your partner bridge the gap that’s been building between you two, and offer you a chance to actually receive each other with kindness and affection.
- Individual adult women who struggle with eating disorders and body dysmorphia
- Individual adult women who identify as highly sensitive persons with a propensity toward being introverted, prone to sadness, anxiety, and depression, and who have difficulty in setting boundaries for themselves
- Individual adult men who struggle with anger, communication challenges, depression, and who may fall somewhere on the Autism spectrum If none of these sounds like you, that’s okay too! Feel free to reach out to me for a free phone consultation and you can decide if I am the right fit.
Now for the academic stuff: I have my Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brandman University in the lovely Washington state! My therapeutic orientation is: Humanistic/Experiential, Psychodynamic, and Person-Centered. I love CBT, DBT, and ACT, so if the situation is appropriate, I will sprinkle in these modalities. At present, I am applying to doctorate programs to receive my PsyD in Somatic Psychology. I love running, yoga, reading, playing with my cats, being outside, and watching movies that make me laugh, cry, and ponder.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (IMF# 10001) on track toward licensure in the near future and am happily supervised by Dr. Jennifer Stinson (PSY 20997)
