Welcome. I believe that we all confront challenges throughout our lives, transitions where we have opportunities to change behaviors that are no longer useful, enrich our relationships, and move away from pain from the past. My goal is to provide a warm, caring, respectful and empathic environment for you to explore and uncover the roots of emotional pain, suffering, and self-defeating behaviors in both your personal and professional relationships. Your desire for growth and change is a very personal journey, and I believe in a collaborative approach to defining your goals and providing effective processes and tools to help you achieve them.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist with over 9 years’ experience helping individuals, couples, and families. In addition to working with adults, I have extensive experience helping children and adolescents who are facing such issues as ADHD, anxiety, depression, anger management, family conflict, grief, transitions, divorce, substance abuse, behavioral issues and LGBTQ identity. I seek also to work with family members and school staff to help them support their child’s effort in improving their behavior, social skills and performance both at home and at school.
I also work with couples who are having difficulty with resolving conflicts and striving for better communication and intimacy. I seek to help couples identify relationship conflicts, help resolve them and then provide the tools to empower them to resolve future relationship difficulties themselves. My goal is to help each couple achieve both individual psychological and emotional well-being and happiness, as well as enhanced levels of relationship satisfaction.
Additionally, the insight I’ve gained from many years of working in corporate environments has enabled me to helpmy clients with career counseling, career changes, cultivating professional relationships and conflict resolution in the workplace.
I completed my Master of Science in marriage, family and child counseling at Cal State Northridge. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
If you seek extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, or if you’re ready to move in a different direction in your life. I look forward to working with you.
