I utilize a client centered approach with emphatic listening, cognitive behavioral techniques and the 12 step model for substance abuse. Additionally, I have helped clients and their family member's successfully work through challenges and life transitions.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors, who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, various psychotic disorders, grief, substance abuse, LGBTQ, chronic pain including fibromyalgia, medical and end of life issues, Finally I have extensive experiences years working with adults children of alcoholics, codependency.

I graduated from San Diego State University with my B.A. in 1995 and from Chapman University in 1998 with my Master’s degree in psychology.

My career began in 1996 where I worked in an inpatient medical detox and 28 day residential substance abuse facility. Subsequently, I have also worked in outpatient clinics and inpatient psychiatric units treating children, adolescents, adults as well as the geriatric psych program. I have also worked in emergency rooms, and in a 30 day residential program treating the Military with substance abuse and PTSD.
