Sophia Kang

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #113746) with 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families that have struggled with attachment and bonding, trauma, depression, anxiety, identity formation, relational stress, ADHD, and women’s issues.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California and went on to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis of Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. Additionally, I am certified in Parent-Child Interactive Therapy and trained in both Seeking Safety and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have worked for four years in community mental health working alongside children and their families within the permanency population in effort to help them thrive.

Life can be difficult, but you shouldn’t have to navigate it alone. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I aim to provide a safe place with unconditional positive regard to support those who are ready to allow me to be a part of their journey.
