The assessment topics will include suicide, trauma, grief, substance use, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Attention will be given to discussing why assessment is important and what information is crucial for clinicians to obtain. Cultural considerations in assessment will be explored to highlight the value of viewing assessment through a cultural lens. Learners will have increased knowledge, skill, and clinical resources in strengthening their assessment practices and resource toolbox.
