Sarah Tynes

"I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years’ experience working in the mental health field. My goal is to provide a professional, supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Together we can process what you’ve been through, build on your strengths, and also identify concrete, tangible steps to improve the way you take care of yourself and cope with challenges.

I have worked with a range of ages and presenting issues/diagnoses, but am most passionate about helping individual adults in the following areas: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, survivors of trauma including domestic/interpersonal abuse, adjustment disorders, grief and loss. I am trained in Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis-Oriented Recovery Services, and come from a cognitive-behavioral therapy and ecosystems background. I believe we all have strengths, vulnerabilities and the ability to change.

I earned my Master’s of Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2012. I earned Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Gender Studies from the University of Southern California in 2008. I am registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW #74602) and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. I love to hike, travel, read and cook! And I look forward to working with you."
