About
I understand, life happens and that's okay, I want you to know you are not alone in your circumstances. I am here to help you heal, grow and thrive.
"Owning our story can be hard, but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky, but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy- the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."
- Brene Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection
If you struggle with wholehearted loving and living, I can help you by identifying and dealing with struggles, problems, and issues that keep you from being your very best.
I love working with people to rediscover who they are or were meant to be. Sometimes the chaos and confusion that life can present may cause us to lose our way. I have extensive experience with Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression. Again, I am here for you and there is hope.
First session can be tedious due to all the information gathering, however I want to hear your story and listen for what you think is going wrong for you right now.
What I do best is help you to recognize your strengths, identify as well as prioritize your challenges/problems.
Hope begins with a plan and a plan requires action; which is learning to use your strengths to overcome life obstacles and challenges.
EMDR is a specific type of therapy that is useful in the treatment of many different emotional problems, however it is mostly known for treatment of trauma.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I like this therapy modality because I can relate to it, I feel that it compliments EMDR, CBT, DBT, most all other therapy modalities really well.
