About
"The golden equation of love: My Stuff + Your Stuff = Our Stuff" - Alexandra H. Solomon
I specialize in cultivating safe and conscious relationships. I like to think of therapy as taking care of a garden. Therapy is a space where we nurture our relationship with ourselves, pull out old weeds, grieve plants that have withered, and plant new seeds that allow our gardens to expand and flourish.
Relationships are a space that requires our intention and presence every day. In relationship work, therapy is a space that honors our separateness, our individuality, and our togetherness, our "we-ness" and it invites us to build from a commitment to each other vs. our fears.
I have a master's degree from Pepperdine University and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have worked for over seven years providing on-site therapy services to young and older adults to address concerns related to, but not limited to, disconnection in their relationships, sexual dissatisfaction, co-dependency, women's issues, body image, gender violence, grief, immigration, discrimination, stress, transition of roles, and trauma.
I embrace systemic, psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies and weave into my work an understanding of gender studies, self-care, pleasure, and positive sex. I value creating a space that celebrates vulnerability, invites people to discover what fulfills them, and supports them in healing.
I work from a non-judgmental stance, recognizing that many of the ways we interact have helped us survive in our environments and that growth embraces all parts of ourselves even the ones we have disowned.
