About
"Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change." - Brené Brown
Seeking support can feel scary and overwhelming. “How do I know what to look for? What is therapy about exactly? How will talking to someone change anything?” These can be common questions when starting or even continuing your therapeutic journey. I am someone who believes in providing a non-judgmental safe space through genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard in order for clients to explore and express themselves freely. I aim to assist my clients in building safety within themselves by working on self-acceptance, highlighting their strengths, and empowering them to create the changes they desire. My experience spans over a variety of therapeutic settings and with different populations. I work primarily with individual adults who struggle with anxiety, life transitions, trauma, parenting, and those wanting to break the cycles of transgenerational trauma.
As a first generation American of Latinx immigrants, I am culturally aware and sensitive to the hardships this population may experience. It has allowed me to have an understanding of the struggle with balancing two different worlds and learning to find where we fit in. I bring a specialization in Art Therapy to the table in order to help facilitate expression when we do not have the words. I look forward to working together and providing the support needed as you embark on this journey.
