About
My intention is to join you on your journey towards more peace, balance, happiness and a more fulfilling life.
I provide a holistic and client centered approach by establishing a supportive and safe environment to work collaboratively with my clients. In the current uncertain times of COVID, many of us are experiencing increased anxiety among other stressors.
I am passionate about building a relationship with my clients that promotes safety and have found that in a nurturing environment, growth can develop organically and bring about positive change. Together we will uncover your inner strengths and explore the obstacles that limit your ability to access your authentic and best self. We will work towards a better understanding of how your past experiences influence current challenges and work on shifting thought patterns that perpetuate negative emotions.
In therapy, I will provide you with a nonjudgmental space where we can establish goals and work towards a more enriched life by achieving these goals step by step. I will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan that fits your needs and may include techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focused.
I have worked in a variety of settings such as outpatient programs for substance use, residential treatment centers, non profit organizations, and a psychiatric hospital. I am passionate about working with individuals, couples and families experiencing various life stressors, relational problems, anxiety, depression, transitions, trauma, personal growth challenges etc. My overarching mission is to help clients reach their goals and work towards healing.
I graduated from Utah Valley University with a B.S in Behavioral Science, emphasis in Psychology. I continued my education and completed a Masters of Art in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chapman University. I am licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (LMFT #119366) and a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
