About
"I didn't come to teach you. I came to love you. Love will teach you." (- Ayurvedic Proverb)
Someone once asked me, “what heals mental illness?” And while there is no one specific treatment to simply heal all, I strongly believe that relationships can certainly aid in the healing process. So my approach to therapy is just like so… I believe that by creating a good therapeutic relationship with my clients I can help them overcome many of the challenges they face in life.
I aim at providing a safe space where my clients can talk about difficult and painful things without any fear of judgement. I allow my clients to fully be themselves in the room with me and allow them to say the things they never dared to say out loud before.
My goal with this is to provide a safe holding environment where my clients can process through and move away from their pain so that they are able to find healing and a life that’s worth living. This includes, helping my clients build strong relationships with their spouse/partner, their children, friends, extended family members, folks in their community, a higher power, and even me (their therapist)!
Strong relationships are the foundation of what it truly means to be human; this life was never meant to be lived alone!
A little bit about me… I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in general Psychology earned at Argosy University in 2011, and earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling at California State University in Fullerton in 2016 with a focus on Marriage & Family Therapy. I am a mother, a wife, a friend, a sister, and a daughter; in other words, I’m human just like you!
And I too have had my fair share of adverse experiences, traumas and difficulties in life. But more importantly, I have learned how to overcome and grow from those experiences and I can’t wait to share with you the lessons I have learned to help you do the same.
Much of my training and experience has been focused on treating Trauma, Grief, Depression, Anxiety, and improving Communication Skills. I incorporate different interventions in order to custom-tailor the treatment of each individual, couple or family that I work with.
I hope that this little bio gives you the information you need to make a decision on whether I am the right therapist for you. I want to thank you for taking the time to read through this, and I look forward to hearing from you soon so that we can begin your healing journey together.
