About
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." - Maya Angelou
As a general practitioner my goal is to provide supportive therapeutic care and assist individuals in developing skills to succeed in reaching personal goals. My therapeutic skills consist of humanistic, strength/resiliency, and client-centered approaches, cognitive behavioral restructuring, mindfulness and self-transformational techniques. Ultimately, I utilize an eclectic range of clinical tools with a holistic perspective; meeting clients where they are in their therapeutic journey. During your experience you will uncover and discover unexpected elements which may require a transition in therapy which I may assist in identifying and supporting you through psycho education and transitioning you into specialized therapeutic treatment (e.g., EMDR, DBT, IFS, etc.).
My experience has cultivated constructive and successful outcomes working with individuals of a mature age (e.g., 25 and up) who are dealing with the following: • Depression • Anxiety • Complex Trauma • Difficulty Adjusting to Stressors • Women’s Issues • Phase of Life Changes • Relational Concerns: Intrapersonal/Interpersonal, Romantic, Platonic, Familial • Hostile Work Environments • Low Confidence/Self-esteem • LGBTQIA Concerns • Family Dynamics • Life’s Challenges • Grief/Loss • Fellow Therapist and Mental Health Providers • Self-management and not sure what the heck is going on! The idea is for you and I to work together so you can achieve your desired goal, and when you are ready; I will walk through the journey with you!
