President Dede Kennedy is a nationally recognized expert in employee benefits with over 35 years of experience. Currently, she serves as President-Elect for CAHIP Los Angeles and is involved in several organizations, including the NABIP Legislative Council and the CAHIP Mental Health Task Force, focusing on mental health legislation and member education. Her background includes roles as an Operational & Marketing Consultant for a women’s substance use disorder treatment facility and Director of Contracting for a psychiatric hospital, where she developed a behavioral health independent physician association. Dede is frequently cited in major media outlets and holds a BA in Rhetoric & Communication from the University of Oregon; she lives in Altadena, California, with her husband and children.
